KFC: Kentucky Fried Cruelty?
I was doing my cousin's Friendster lay-out when on the lay-out source site there was this blinking text ad that says KFC Consumer Warning. If you were on my shoes (or in my bare feet as I'm not wearing any now) I am quite certain, and I am betting the clouds on this, you would be tempted to click such a controversy, that is if you're keen as I.
Although as you go to the site you would be at once greeted by what is generally a contentious term as “explicit” and complemented with Pamela Anderson’s image on it, these techniques are just employed to catch your attention, given the fact that it is Pam, one of the hottest babes in this century. What she tries to say, however, is that you should be aware of what you are eating, especially if it’s Kentucky Fried Chicken.
She calls her project “Kentucky Fried Cruelty,” where Pam campaigns to “Kick the Bucket” and boycott KFC for its cruel treatment of animals at KFC’s factory farm and slaughterhouse suppliers until the company accepts to make some simple improvements in treating the animals.
The video of the undercover exposé proves just how horribly KFC treats chickens—birds are so crippled that they can't even walk, live birds are forced into tanks of scalding-hot water while completely conscious and able to feel pain, and Moorefield, West Virginia slaughterhouse workers kill birds by slamming them against the wall and stomping on them!
Pam is also encouraging those who despise the way KFC treats animals to sign the petition which pledges these words:
I pledge to boycott KFC until it stops selling birds who have had their wings and legs broken, their throats slit, and their bodies dunked into tanks of scalding-hot water while they are still alive and able to feel pain. She furthered that the best thing to help animals is to stop eating them and that just like her we should try a vegetarian diet. And for a bribe if ever we don't suppose that animal cruelty is a strong enough argument for vegetarianism she is telling us that eating meat causes impotence and slows the blood flow to all the organs, not just the heart. And you know what she means.
If you think this is just a black propaganda, in case KFC or someone in there did something bad to Pam, go see the video yourself.

its an old issue na. =p
here in the Philippines, hindi lahat ng chicken ng KFC eh KFC ang kumakatay. Some are bought from San miguel, while some are imported. Konti lang kinakatay ng KFC dito.
Also, I dont think the killing process is the best process, pero yun na yung pinaka madali.. heheh.
what they do is they cut the neck, papatuluin yung blood, soack sa boiling water para lumambot ang skin at madaling maalis feathers, tapos minamasasge - para matanggal feathers.
at least sosyal ang pagpatay.. naka machine, how bout sa palengke?
so dapat hindi lang KFC iboycot, lahat ng nagbebenta ng chicken.
If KFC lang boycot, then i guess may hidden agenda sa pag boycot.
may point ka dun Migs. is it about time we all have to be vegetarian? pero kelangan din naman natin ng karne.
i think it's the best way to prepare these chickens to become food, ung hinihiwa ang leeg first. is there any better way to kill this chicken?
