I was never the seller type of person in eBay really. Back in the days when it didn’t occur to me that online business would actually work for me, I was purely a spectator. Add being a wisher too, who constantly adds up everything I watch on eBay to my personal wishlist.
The very first time I made a transaction in eBay was in April 2008 when I bought my second-hand Nokia N93i for a whooping price of PhP 15,000. Don’t throw me a look that says that’s not even hefty, because for a poor person like me and for the way the transaction is made, that’s got to be something. For a first timer, I didn’t know there would actually be swindlers lurking around on the site. But yes, I made my first successful transaction in eBay.
Since then I would buy in eBay time and again—from clothes to flipflops, to books and softwares, computer parts, among other—and thanks God I have never ever been fooled by any fraudulent sellers. I cannot imagine why there are buyers who got tricked. Pardon me but I guess they are plainly stupid, stupid for not being meticulous. Fortunately, all the transactions I made in eBay were all fraud-free. In fact, it was me who got into little nasty dealings with some sellers: I didn’t pay for about three items I won on bidding. Silly me, and poor sellers! They had to give me “unpaid item strike” cases.
Now it’s time I sold items. I just sold my three Harry Potter wands and two HP action figures, all for a price of 5,790 after the bid. It was both the need to have money for the summertime, now that I did not accept any teaching load, and also the urge to clean the house from things I could actually live without and things that had rather only sat up and weathered that prompted me to queue my things up for auction.
As of this writing, my feedback in eBay is 17, with a yellow star on, and counting. Selling and buying online is so much easier than the actual. That cuts off the hassle and the effort of your legs walking around in stores or your tongue talking to the seller. With online trade like in eBay, let your fingers just do the job!
There may be many valid reasons to leave home, but there are so much more reasons to always come back home.
I first left home for a job that placed me in Pampanga and Olongapo in November 2008. Remembering back then, I had hard time adapting to the ways and culture these two places have. I had twisted emotions then: on one side I felt so damn free to do everything I wanted and go wherever I desired without the inhibition or opinions of my dear parents, but on the other side I wished I never left because the loneliness was difficult to bear.
Either my resilience or the being left with no other choice has moved me to go on with my life away from home, no matter how searing the pain of loneliness was, that even of wishing I could disappear like a bubble there and reappear as me back in my hometown. But of course that requires a miracle, and I could only hope and pray.
The only times that I could come home were at Christmas holiday breaks. And you can only imagine how fleeting the days spent with my family and friends could be, owing to the fact that there could only be two weeks at most for holiday break.
So this summer, I opted to refuse any teaching load as a clinical instructor and go back home. And go, I did. As a write this I am now in the comfort of our humble abode, enjoying the days just relaxing and sleeping, and, well, nothing else to do but rest. Sure my job pays me well, but rest and relaxation is something that cannot be paid.
Aside from missing my family and friends, I also miss writing so much. It is my very passion, and I have had such regret why I left writing on my blogs to nothing. But then again, whatever decision I made before that got my blogs unattended was also something I wanted or needed that time. That is what life like is…
So now I am back in my asylum, literally and figuratively. Here in My Consoling Asylum, I will do all in my power to get back to blogging again – something I so love doing. And this I will do now in the comfort of my very own asylum, in our home here in Tagum.
Nurses have become so in-demand these days as more and more people put priority over their health and with lesser people engaging in the Nursing course. That's why countries such as Philippines, India and China has been a great source of nurses to fill nursing job vacancies in countries such as in North America, Europe and Middle East.
Apart from Nursing per se, other professions related to the health or medical field are also gaining popularity, like nursing assistant. This role is a little notch under nursing but still pays good. Nurses aid or nursing aids are an example of nursing assistant. Once you are a certified nursing assistant, you will get a higher salary, although it may not necessarily be higher than a registered nurse's (I am one!). But still this is one great career that one should consider, especially if Nursing is not just for you.
